Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Sam F — 28 May 2011
The premise is interesting, but instead of trying to explore that deeply, this film just takes the conceit that a world without lies would be mostly the same and uses that as a backdrop for a bunch of half-assed, sometimes-funny jokes.
The acting was good, but the generic rom-com plot was a snooze and it wasn't very interesting as an allegory either. It's just mediocre.
