Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Flora T — 16 Jun 2011
When I saw the title, "Invention of Lying", I thought who on earth would think of such a movie?!! Are they actually doing a documentary of why or how people lie, with lots of graphic discussions on brain chemicals?
Then the scene where Jennifer Garner was telling her date who were early something blatantly blunt came on,"I am seriously disappointed that you're here early. I wasn't looking forward to this date but I thought it would be better than to die lonely at home", well something to that effect ! Scenes after scenes show people being fully direct, blunt and tell you things that's straight to your face; basically picture a world where people cannot lie nor know how to lie.
That is until... some guy (Ricky) discovered he could do otherwise.
I find this movie surprisingly interesting and enjoyable !! Some really funny and creative scenes.
