Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Nadia S — 29 Jan 2012
T's was creative, funny movie. I just didn't like the ending very much.
The thing about the commercial is soooo true! laughed a lot when it talks about Pepsi saying "it's the drink that will replace the Coke when there isn't any coke to be sold." hahahaha ... and to hear the truth is not always a sea of roses right?
I only thought that ... there was this strange thing they criticize: religion in general ... no matter what religion is ... everyone believes in one God, and this movie kind of scoffs at this, saying that God is fake, and so on ... well ... not for everybody, do u understand? there are those who believe and the ones who don't.
They made a joke about Moses and the tablets of the law (this implies the beliefs of many religions);.
They meant to say exactly this: "Everyone always told the truth at some time in the past, but one day someone said a lie, saying that a man who lives in heaven (God) exists, but he actualy made him up ".
OK, they tried to make the whole story looks like fun, but there is some TRUTH in it... if you pay attention, you'll understand what they want you to believe.. it is... "that God does not exist".
... And if God really exists? Is there or not at least 1% of possibility that there is a God?
