Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Bradley H — 16 Feb 2012
Moments of satirical brilliance and a clever indictment of religion all fade into a sappy mush by the end. It was within sight of something great, but it seems to lose sight of its potential profundity as it gets confounded by a predictable and uninspiring love story.
This film also features some great cameos (I particularly enjoyed Edward Norton's), which, unfortunately, run dry by the midpoint.
