Review of The Invasion (2007) by George H — 16 Feb 2009
A real missed opportunity. The orginal resonated with Cold War themes of paranoia and fear of the enemy within... In today's era of paranoia and fear of terrorism, reduction of civil liberties, etc.
, it seems that the time would be ripe for this remake. Unfortunately, it just didn't cut it - the pieces were all there to create a more atmospheric, paranoid film, but they went for action instead and regressed to the mean.
