Oh wow apparently the only way we will be able to save the world is if we are all incredibly boring. It's kinda creepy at times, but half the time I can't tell who is who mostly because a lot of the acting is so horrible they all come off as boring.
This definitely isn't the original body snatchers I remember and like the remake of the day the earth stood still this one tries too hard to make itself political with current issues, but come on.
.. The ending is ridiculous too, because modern medicine can't even cure the common cold so I find it hard to believe it can cure a worldwide alien epidemic is basically a day. Also Nicole Kidman only had to stay up for one day and that's not that difficult that it requires a shot to the heart and a bottle of caffeine pills to do.
It's entertaining to watch, but overall is just a bad film, not really a sci-fi film and tries too hard to mimick zombie films, but I would take the truly mindless flesheaters over super boring people who try and spit snot all over my face, at least then I don't have to feel guilty about blowing their heads off with a shotgun.
