Review of The Invasion (2007) by Visitorq S — 12 Sep 2011
It was a pleasant surprise - nothing too original, yet an effectively creepy thriller nontheless. The first half of the film is tense, suspenseful and crafted intelligently, but that is lost in the second - it becomes more of a chase movie, with both leads running around without much thought or reason.
The narrative is undeniably uneven - sometimes you're not even sure where the plot really is - and it does lose sight of what it wants to achieve, but, for the most part, it's a tense, eerie movie that delivers on its premise, but isn't as good as the originals.
