Review of The Invasion (2007) by James W — 31 Oct 2013
Twisted, unsettling and at times very frightening. The Invasion is a mind-bending descent into madness and terror, as an alien virus takes over the human body and re-programmes it. Nicole Kidman delivers a driven and totally convincing performance as Carol Bennell, a psychiatrist caught in the midst of the deadly outbreak.
Alongside a great supporting cast including Daniel Craig, Celia Weston and Jackson Bond, The Invasion is a very character driven movie, you feel for the characters and there's always tension surrounding them as the danger of being infected is constantly lurking.
A must see movie, filled with a nice visual style and plenty of action, and body-snatching goodness.
