Review of The Intouchables (2011) by Jonathan K — 28 Mar 2013
Surprisingly funny, The Intouchables is a heart-warming story of an unlikely friendship. Strong chemistry between the leads makes for hilarious interplay and a sensible balance of serious drama. The character of Driss, played masterfully by the award-winning Omar Sy, is one of the most charismatic and straight-forward personalities put to screen in recent memory.
The balance he strikes between an irreverent and a genuine demeanor is nearly perfect, and deserves acting, writing, and directing praise. It's a refreshing film that will have you glad you watched it and happy to be alive.
