Review of The Intouchables (2011) by Alvin Y — 03 Apr 2013
Don't get me wrong, this is an inspiring film, and a very moving film. My problem is that the movie fails to have a deep character study, or in other words, we care less about them. The chemistry of Driss and Philippe is palpable, they had fun, and he'll yeah, they become more of a like father and son.
We didn't learn some things about how Philippe got into an accident and how his wife died, and suddenly he's looking again? Driss character could have been more improved or changed, but instead, he pretends to be one of those n*****s on the street.
Watch Driving Miss Daisy instead, once again, I'm upset on the average rating on this movie, not that great of a movie.
