Review of The Intouchables (2011) by John H — 17 Aug 2013
It's really, really, really conventional once you get past the nice French flavoring, but THE INTOUCHABLES is as good as it is because of Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy in the leads. Their characters are more than stick figures in a would-be inspiring framework, but real, messy, relatable human beings with passions, humors and fears, and their bond transcends the material and becomes truly moving.
Their performances are what make THE INTOUCHABLES worth getting to know.
