Review of The Interview (2014) by David S — 16 Feb 2015
The Interview is an amusing movie at times, but the general comedy has a very obvious and flat delivery. Franco and Seth Rogen act terribly in this movie, and are more themselves than any fictional character they may be trying to create.
Randall Park makes for a great Kim Jong-un and may be one of the few redeemable features of this poorly made film. The concept is great and hilariously tongue-in-cheek, but the delivery is poor and a struggle to watch.
The over-abundance of slang and pop-references is over-done and annoying. It seems the Seth and Franco duo are going down the same tunnel as Adam Sandler in his later days.
