Review of The Interview (2014) by Sophia E — 18 Mar 2015
When I first heard that there was going to be another movie with Seth Rogen and James Franco, I got really excited. I love them apart, but when they get together its twice the fun. From movies like This is the End and Pineapple Express, Rogen and Franco make a pretty funny pair.
But when I saw the trailer and heard that they were making a movie about killing the leader of North Korea, it kind of turned me off. Still, I watched it and found it to be exactly what I expected it to be.
An absurdly stupid movie with way too many sex jokes and complete idiocy. From some of the reviews I have seen, they all talked about how the person was disappointed with the movie. Seriously people, this is the type of comedy we have seen in movies like, 22 Jump Street, Neighbors and Sex Tape.
Personally, I liked the movie; from the sex jokes to Randall Parks' Kim Jong-Un's obsession with Katy Perry and margaritas. If you ignore all the Sony and World War III hype around the movie, and just enjoy it for all of its ridiculousness, then maybe, just maybe you might like it.
