Review of The Interview (2014) by Jamie J — 23 Nov 2015
Let's face it, as marketing stunts go Then interview takes the gold medal there. Practically destroying your movie company and pissing off north Korea is god tier trolling. A shame really that is attached to such a bland film then.
You have James Franco and Seth Rogen playing themselves as they always do, but this time with a fat bloke who looks nothing like the supreme leader of North Korea. And precious little laughs to be had in the two hour run time either.
It is at least a pretty good looking film at least, high enough a budget to warrant the five quid asking price for the blu ray. But not enough to keep, I guess someone out there may have pissed themselves over this one, but as a British person I guess American comedies are wasted on me.
With all the subtlety of a claw hammer The Interview still isn't even a bad film, it's just a complete failure at humour, which as comedies go isn't what even Seth Rogen would set out to achieve.
