Review of The Interrupters (2011) by Nansy V — 28 Jul 2011
Steve James is HANDS DOWN the greatest documentary filmmaker working today. This doc, although almost 3 hours long, deals with Chicago's youth violence issue in a way that's gripping, sympathetic and hopeful, all while providing narrative threads that keep you fully engaged for the duration.
Seriously top shelf filmmaking, it's too bad almost no one will get a chance to see it.
