Review of The Interpreter (2005) by Wes S — 08 Jul 2011
Very good political thriller about a United Nations interpreter (played by Nicole Kidman) who may have heard something she wasn't supposed to hear, and now her life may be in danger. Nicole Kidman plays this role so well as a woman who gets inadvertantly caught up in what may be an assasination attempt and becomes a suspect herself when a few dark secrets from her past show up in the investigation.
Sean Penn in my opinion stole the show in this movie, playing a secret service agent who just lost his wife, he really knows how to capture the emotional depth and range of someone like that who's going through all the emotions of mourning.
Great movie worth checking out.
