Review of The Internship (2013) by Melissa M — 10 Oct 2014
Kevin, Matress Salesman (Will Farrell): [approaching Nick and Billy] How's it going, Gossip Girls?
CW just called - you're canceled.
This was surprisingly funny; I say surprisingly because I'm neither a huge fan of Vince Vaughn nor Owen Wilson and quite honestly, I don't even know why I recorded this film in the first place, but there it was and I had nothing else to watch at the time. The whole plot was pretty predictable but it's not like it was meant to be Shakespeare on anything. The cast was pretty likeable and acting fairly sound, it was all pretty fun and entertaining; and enough even though it wasn't that profound, it did have a kernel of wisdom somewhere in there. Overall, I would call it a really good effort, it's not horrible but it wasn't great either, just okay enough to be an interesting waste of two hours of your life.
