Review of The International (2009) by Stuart Deckard W — 21 Jan 2010
I suppose it's a cool thing to have so many ideas and different moods in one movie - but it also can hurt one's brain when so many different things are going on - one after the other. The International starts out like some sort of Bourne movie, conspiracy theory suspense flick and then ends in some sort of gun porn fiasco. Each bit is entertaining, but everything feels so random.
Clive Owen is great, as always, but the movie as a whole is just average when you add up all the different bits. I personally wished there would have been more of the type of action we get at the very end, considering it was so amazing to watch. Because of a lack of focus the movie suffers, but that doesn't mean it's not good - so I still reccomend you check it out.
