Review of The International (2009) by Jerry H — 03 Mar 2010
Right off the bat I'll say that I don't usually like this type of film but it has two really talented actors, Clive Owen and Naomi Watts, so I decided I'd give it a shot. Now these type of films kind of go over my head plotwise but this film deals with an Interpol agent whos trying to expose a group of people who are committing acts of terrorism around the globe.
His partner is the beautiful and talented Watts and together they must trust no one but each other, and half the time they are uncertain if they can even trust each other. Like I said, I don't usually go for this type of film but when you have Owen and Watts as your leads you have to watch.
And they both have such commanding presences on film you can't take your eyes off them. They are a bang up team but I'd rather see them in a romantic comedy, and I think Watts would be good in a romantic comedy.
Back to the movie~it was a little hard to follow but ultimately rewarding and there are a few twists along the way that I did not see coming. Reccommended. The film was released in 2009, Directed by Tom Twyker and released by Columbia Pictures.
Rated R.
