Review of The International (2009) by Maricela A — 05 Jan 2012
This movie moves across international boundaries from city to city, and across oceans. It has a lot of grit, a lot of drama from back-room negotiations, secretive meetings, deal making, etc. All of this leaves a lot of information to digest.
Basically, it involves the investigative Interpol, countries like China, the US, etc, small arms, and trade.... It flows and is suspenseful... Like a Bourne or 007 but without much of the action, and without the fancy cars and high tech stuff that you know doesn't exist (or won't for a long time, anyway).
It takes a while to digest and to understand it but after the dust settles, it deserves two thumbs up.
