Review of The International (2009) by Blue D — 29 Feb 2012
There was a time I really wanted Clive Owen to be the next Bond. But I'm glad he didn't. By not being cast as Bond, he's able to do movies like this, in which he is able to play the most "real world" Bond you're ever likely to see.
This is a fantastic thriller. Beautifully shot and maturely written. And the gunfight in the Guggenheim? It shouldn't be oversold, but it's maybe the best action set piece I've seen in a long time.
