Review of The International (2009) by Jason P — 30 Mar 2012
A style over substance want to be thrilling thriller with Clive Owen in a post casting wannabe Bond role teaming with Naomi Watts in attempts to take down an international bank whose corruption involves investing in weapons dealing and international terrorism.
The composition of the cinemaotgraphy seems to be the star of the film since all of the attention has gone towards making the shots and the guggenheim set piece cool looking, but the lack of tension and maybe a more exact conflict to raise the stacks makes me as the audience very uninvolved.
And given the acting talent involved with Own, Watts and Stahl, I would have expected a lot more acting fireworks then there were.
