Review of The International (2009) by Mark N — 17 Apr 2012
Flat and routine thriller with one epic scale gun battle that goes on too long without intensifying leaving the one set-piece as a drawn-out yawn. Tykwer is an accomplished filmmaker but the man who created Run Lola Run seems totally restrained or absent.
The thin plot and bland characters give nothing to work with, the performances are equally bored and routine.
