Review of The International (2009) by Stuart D — 05 Feb 2010
Patchy thriller from Run Lola Run directer Tom Twyker. Clive Owen, in one of his less wooden performances, is an Interpol agent investigating the possible involvement of a large financial institution in controlling the weapons supply to 3rd world countries.
The plot is sketchy at best & sometimes it's difficult to hear what the foreign perfomers are actually saying. Naomi Watts is very much underused here, her role seemingly pointless. On the plus side there's a great shoot out in an art gallery.
