Review of The International (2009) by Brendan N — 19 Aug 2010
Falls on the right side of average, but The International peaks too early and struggles to get back on track after a lively opening half an hour. Clive Owen is excellent and Louis Salinger and in parts carries this political-economic thriller on his own.
It is mildly thrilling and boasts come integrity when looking at the ingenuity of the whole piece but ocassionally the plot fluxes too dramatically. The musical score composed is nice but repetitive. It is summarised with an odd ending, which was unimpressive and rushed.
