Review of The Inspector General (1949) by Bill W — 20 Oct 2007
I think this is the best of the Danny Kaye movies. What's even better is if you look carefully you can find the DVD for a buck or two. It would be nice if it were cleaned up and accompanied with commentaries and other features.
The higher price would be worth it. This is entertaining from beginning to end. The part where Kaye splits his personalities is hilarious - "Be elegant, be eloquent, be smart." I highly recommend it.
