Intelligent, compelling, dynamite, shocking, deeply moving this is a absorbing potent conspiracy corporate thriller a masterpiece in it's own right. The Insider is an engaging, beautifully-paced corporate thriller that leaves most others like it looking silly and amateurish.

This is a war movie. The big strikes are lawsuits. The battlefield is the conscience. And the heroes put themselves on the front lines for the sake of the truth. Despite having no action scenes, a 2.5 hour running time, and based around the tired subject of tobacco, The Insider manages to be one of -- if not the best corporate thriller of all time.

Fascinating whistleblower story for older teens. A sobering examination of corruption, courage, cowardice, and the sometimes catastrophic costs of telling the truth. Not only is the story fascinating and intelligent.

..and not only is Michael Mann's directing inventive and yet down to earth, but the performances by the cast are truly excellent. this is a excellent film I recommend everyone who have not watched this film please watch it.
