Review of The Innocents (2016) by Saad N — 19 Jul 2016
A bold statement on rape as war crime, Catholic sense of morality and women's suffering. Difficult to watch but ultimately rewarding in terms of cinematography and acting. Fontaine's film really cuts deep into the characters in order to offer a brutally honest portrayal of unsung victims and heroines.
