It may be a love letter to the wannabe ghost hunters out there, but it didnt to live up to the hype. Lacked invention, failed to make the most of its location and just never went anywhere. Ti West, though a talented genre director, seemed unsure whether he wanted a comedy or a horror.
He tried a bit of both. And failed.
