Review of The Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958) by Tara N — 28 Jun 2007
Not so much about JESUS and Christianity, but about a nice lady ( Ingrid Bergman) who just tries to be nice to her fellow man ( Not necessarily a "Christian" invention). A really looooong movie, and you feel it.
The beginning half of the movie is the best, the latter half just drags on endlessly. REALLY FUNNY casting. Oh sooo that guy with the german accent who sounds so much like Ah-nold...he's supposed to be half chinese.
...ok. The judge guy who is supposed to be Chinese and is white...with an exasperated English sounding voice....I see. I really like Ingrid Bergman but in this movie she really really really looked like a young-er.
..Dianne Wiest.
