Review of The Informant (2008) by Kris R — 08 Jan 2013
For a movie billed as a comedy TheInformant was light on laughs. yes there were funny lines here and there but few (if any) good belly laughs. Matt Damon stumbled through awkwardly portraying The Informant. Much of the movie was obscured by Matt's seemingly irrelevant voice over. I say seemingly but I can't comment more without giving away too much. Scott Bakula is...well... he's there. Unfortunately Scott proves again that in Hollywood looks are more important than acting ability.
The story moves very slowly taking forever to really get to anything that makes any sense. Plot points are brushed past only to make a reappearance in the climax. I found myself looking bak and thinking that I did remember SOMETHING about a plot fact, but it was mentioned in passing with no other exposition.
If you are a HUGE Matt Damin fan you will probaby enjoy The Informant. Otherwise, it is weak at best.
No Nudity or Violence, swearing happens at a few points but was completely unneeded.
