Review of The Informant (2008) by Julia S — 30 Mar 2011
This film is a great comedy of incompetence with a hilarious performance from Damon. This is almost the comedy flipside of his Ripley character, a guy who just can't stop lying. Because it is narrated from his perspective the film seems a little confusing to begin with as it takes a while to realise that all he is saying is lies but once you've got that you find yourself open-mouthed at the audacity of his character.
It's great to see Bakula back on the big screen too and his sentimental FBI agent works great alongside Damon's Informant. The fact that the whole thing is true makes the whole thing even more fun!
