Review of The Informant (2008) by Daniel H — 10 Jun 2011
5.8/10.
The commercials for this movie were completely wrong. They showed a movie that I believed I would be laughing at throughout. While there were a few moments where I let out a chuckle, I never really considered this movie to be a comedy at all. I guess it's more of a legal thriller (but not exactly) or a drama. It's a little tough to classify this movie. I will say one thing about this movie, and it's that they hired a ton of comedians to play throughout this movie while hardly ever being funny at all. Maybe it was the director's idea to show that comedians can also play more serious roles just as good as their comedic roles, but I think it just threw me off. I don't know, I guess I was just disappointed with this film. It's okay, interesting, but I don't think I would care to ever see it again. I don't think I can recommend this film to anybody.
