As it sometimes with the comedies, there were moments where the creators were trying to add too much 'meaning' and 'additional serious message' to it. Be aware it contains lot's of sometimes very extreme anti-religious humour, don't expect subtlety!
Overally - funny and if it is not for the topic or type of humour that you will enjoy it (coz you will - believe me!) Omid Djalili on his own doesn't really need to do much to be a funny character :).
