Review of The Indian Runner (1991) by Gregory W — 30 Mar 2008
Viggo Mortensen in the Indian Runner is, to a less dramatic effect, somebody we all know, which makes the film both entrancing and painful. Close personal ties are important investments and it is challenging to see someone you love take advantage of these ties to selfishly hurt themselves and others.
The film is about wanting someone to change for the better and the inevitable consequences and rewards of doing so.
