Review of The Incredibles (2004) by Amanda C — 13 Jun 2018

"The Incredibles", released in 2004 tells the story of a family of superhumans who are pulled out of hiding to save the world again. Having seen the film before and loved it, I found myself still loving it watching it again years later. It's overall such a well done and enjoyable film, it's hard not to like! Visually, the film was very intricate and detailed. I enjoyed the attention to detail with each character having certain hues associated with them - Dash wearing a lot of yellow and having yellow hair, and Violet having a violet hue to her hair and wearing cooler colored clothes. Editing-wise, I felt that the film moved very swiftly and efficiently. It never at any point felt that it dragged on, nor did it feel like it left anything out.

Overall, I really enjoyed the film. I feel that it was very well done and that they chose great actors to voice the characters. The details that pulled me further into the film were that of the visual choices made, as well as the editing. Between the two, I found myself further intrigued by the characters and stuck with the storyline. "The Incredibles" proved to be a very enjoyable film!
