Review of The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) by Steve W — 26 Apr 2008
This is quintessential (and serious approached) sci-fi at its best.
Added to the fact that it was made in the very dawn of the stiil-to-be, long-lasting cold war - with nuclear doom and the like glooming over people's heads - and we've surely got a gem of a film here.
Extra bonus for the seriouness that Jack Arnold embraces the script - extra bonus for doing that in the sensationalist 50's.
Hence my 5-star rating.
