Review of The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) by Stefán Birgir S — 29 Aug 2009
It's just as brilliant as The Thing from Another World. It doesn't choose the way that we want it to end: that the hero will grow back to his original size and everything will go back to normal.
Instead, he just continues to shrink until, well, he might be nothing. And without the hopeful monologue of his which was apparently not even in the novel, this wouldn't be a masterpiece but it sure as heck would still be fun to watch though.
