Review of The Incredible Melting Man (1977) by Brad W — 08 Nov 2008
This has early Rick Baker work in it, but the amazing thing about it was the advertising. It was good schlocky, titalating Corman stuff aimed at kids like it was a quaint monster movie. Seriously, the advertising ran during prime kid viewing time in the afternoons.
Just think what would happen if an R rated movie advertised in the middle of Sponge Bob today. Parent groups would take to the street and demand a head on a pike.
