Review of The Incredible Journey (1963) by John R — 26 Mar 2017
Classic Disney animal film about three pets, two dogs and a cat, who travel over 250 miles across the wilderness to find their owners. This is a film I watched so many times as a kid that I think I've lost perspective on it, but it still seemed like great entertainment watching it now with my own children.
I loved the folksy narration by Rex Allen and the bright music by regular Disney composer Oliver Wallace. Overall, this film isn't art or an American film classic, but it is a classic Disney animal tale that still holds up nearly 60 years later.
