Review of The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988) by Michael T — 12 Jun 2008
Initially conceived as a vehicle for a future Thor TV series (with the immensely popular Hulk added in so people would actually watch it) this movie is mostly significant for being one of the few live action portrayals of the God of Thunder.
However, this Thor is a far cry from the dignified warrior in the comics. This Thor is a hedonistic, beer swilling valley boy who is inadvertently and utterly hilarious. Which is how I'd sum up this entrie movie.
Worth watching for the laughs, to be sure.
