Review of The Incredible Hulk (2008) by Caz H — 22 Jan 2013
This was a strange one for me: it felt understated and not always like a real superhero movie. In some ways this was good: it was intense without being showy or cheesy, the dialogue was generally well-written and the pace was sharp and changeable.
However this then contrasted with the typical explosive action scenes in a way that felt almost jarring at times. Overall I really enjoyed it on most levels, there were just moments when I felt confused and a bit disconnected.
Oh and Edward Norton was amazing: I didn't think my allegiance could be switched from Mark Ruffalo but I think perhaps that it has been.
