Review of The Incredible Hulk (2008) by Kieran S — 07 Oct 2013
When I saw the Incredible hulk I was expecting big things. But I was expecting big things the first time around as well (Hulk 2004). but this time I was almost certain that it would pull through.
And for the most part it did. I loved the action which was plentiful and since it is a superhero movie action scenes should make up the better half of it. and I was happy with Edward Norton's performance and with Tim Roth's also. Norton played Banner very much like how he is in the comics I thought. and Roth played a very menacing Emil Blonsky. and William Hurt did ok too. the CGI effects were a huge step up from the previous debacle known as Hulk but anything would have been. the storyline was good and with the talented cast even an iffy script is not as bad.
I did have some problems with the filming though. I thought that it was choppy and at times even jumped a bit leaving the audience confused even if for only a brief moment. I was also not to happy with Liv Tyler's performance. She didnt necessarily do a bad job its what expected from her but I still wanted a little more. And it would have been nice to see Sampson.
