Review of The Incredible Hulk (2008) by Gothamite B — 23 May 2014
A very good take on the Hulk.
Norton and the other lead actors do a nice job in this film. The human side of Banner is written well and nicely portrayed.
The effects and action scenes with the Hulk leaves you not being able to connect emotionally with this side of his character, it could be the effects or the script but you find yourself not caring if Hulk lives or dies.
The romance between Banner and Betty Ross is nicely handled in this film and Tyler portrays Ross wonderfully.
Overall, the effects are better then Ang Lee's version, the human characters and relationships are beautifully handled and portrayed, while this film suffers with some predictably particularly in its action scenes it is still entertaining.
A substantially better version then it's predecessor and a more enjoyable version as well.
