Review of The Incredible Hulk (1977) by Josh K — 21 Dec 2013
The Incredible Hulk returns in this second part of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe. Having nothing to do with the Ang Lee version (which with all honesty I enjoyed), this film starts everything a new, having more to do with this new universe that MARVEL is creating with the Avengers.
Edward Norton takes over the role of Bruce Banner, which he does a fantastic job with, while Tim Roth has a fantastic job as the main villain, Emil Blonsky. The supporting actors are also great, including Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, William Hurt as General Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as a fellow scientist.
The special effects are incredible (excuse the pun), especially those for the Hulk and the Abomination. While the film is quick and is all action, it still works as an incredible comic book film. Congratulations MARVEL.
