Review of The Incident (1967) by David R — 17 Oct 2011
Despite some good and decent acting this movie has one fatal flaw: It is boring as all get out. It is basically an hour and a half of talking and repetitive bullying, followed by about five minutes of fight.
THats all there is to this film. They also let go of a big issue: racism. When one of the villians calls Peters a "Nigger", Peters gets angry but decides it's not worth it. Then at the end when there are two guys passed out and a young stabbed Beau Bridges, the police try to arrest Peters, the only black man in the car, based on nothing but the fact that he's is black.
And they just throw that all away. And it was a damn shame that they did.
