Review of The Imposter (2012) by Dan H — 30 Aug 2012
A very well-crafted documentary blending interviews, original home videos, and re-enacted scenes to great effect, fascinating and compelling from start to finish. How much is truth and how much is lies? We'll never know.
But it will leave you amazed at how not only the family could be conned, but how government agencies in both Spain and the US could behave so ineptly. A highly entertaining and intelligent 90 minutes that unravels at a perfect pace.
My only criticism is that I would have liked a little more psychological examination of the parties involved.
