Review of The Imposter (2012) by Lobo C — 01 Sep 2012
I truly don't understand what all the plaudits are about. (Spoiler alert!) When the single-word title tells you all you need to know all it leaves you with in this padding-filled borefest are two things - how stupid is the family, and by extension the FBI who are supposed to protect them, and what secrets are they hiding? When the former is so unmitigatedly obvious where is the tension ('edge of seat'? C'mon!!) that they may have the intelligence to hide anything?? To paraphrase Peter Bradshaw I came out feeling stupid for wasting 2 hours of my life watching this over-padded shaggy dog of a film.
