Review of The Imposter (2012) by Jack B — 10 Jan 2013
The Imposter was not only a firm contender for Best Documentary Feature of 2012 but in line for best film. The film has been compared to Joost/Schulman's Catfish (2010) but its not, its better! Riveting, entertaining, meaningful (themes of acceptance, psychology and identity) and indeed odd, this is impeccable Documentary filmmaking, that grips from uncertain beginnings to even more uncertain ends.
Yet after it all it was snubbed at the 2013 Academy Awards, ridiculous!
