Review of The Imposter (2012) by Shannon S — 23 Feb 2013
The film is an absolutely gripping True Crime/Missing Person documentary. A thirteen year old boy disappears in San Antonio, Texas in 1993. Nearly four years later Spanish authorities contact the family to notify them that they have found the boy.
The boy's sister travels to Europe to deliver the boy back to his family, but soon police find that the 'boy' is actually a European con-artist who has a long history of identity theft. Although accepted as legitimate by the family, when his cover is blown he claims that the family has murdered the boy, yet without evidence, authorities are stymied.
VERY MUCH MUST SEE.
